With each goal the Stars undid the Tremblays defense with relentless pressure and pinpoint passing. The Stars scoring was again led by B League MVP Vin Hellemeyer. With two second period powerplay goals, Mayhem seized control of this winner-take-all and stonewalled the Scorpions 5-1 to reclaim the D1 title they let slip away last fall. With the championship win, Mayhem captured their third LI Cup, all in spring seasons, in their fifth consecutive championship appearance.

After trading powerplay goals early in the second, Frank Ingrebretsen broke the tie with a decisive powerplay tally. He deftly maneuvered through the slot to secure a 2-1 lead with four minutes remaining in the second. Ingebretshen soon followed with the backbreaking third goal with just 20 second left in the period. DD4 - No Doubt - Morkmen extinguish LI-Stars 6-3 to capture D2 crown
Surviving a shaky first period, the Morkmen gained control in the second and comfortably put away the LI-Stars for the team's first D2 championship. The D2 title is the organization's second LI Cup, backing up their E1 championship last spring.

The Morkmen initially appeared well on their way, scoring twice early to lead 2-0 five minutes into the match. They, however, abruptly lost their bearings middle of the first. Shortly after the Stars narrowed to 2-1, the Morkmen incurred back-to-back four minute penalties. Needing someone to steady the club, D2 MVP Joe Leone took over the match. The defenseman backboned the successful killing of the eight penalty minutes. He then spearheaded the offense with a goal and assist in the second as the Morkmen re-established form and cruised to the D2 championship.

It took the Minutemen only 45 seconds to snatch the lead they never relinquished. Setting the tone was E1 MVP Chris Vogel. In an epic battle, East Coast rendered the unexpected with a hard-earned 4-2 E2 championship upset of the favored Stingers. In the victory, East Coast completed the unlikely loser's bracket journey and secured their second LI Cup title.

This nip-and-tuck match dripped with intensity and drama. East Coast jumped to an early 2-0 lead but the Stingers suddenly tied it with two markers sixty seconds apart early second. Like Balboa and Creed, the teams swapped prime scoring chances, outstanding saves, physical defense, and indefatigable effort. East Coast nudged ahead on a slick top shelfer from Scott Saturn early in the third but held on dearly as the Stingers swarmed. The Rams repeated their Fall '09 3D title by again emerging from the loser's bracket to wear the crown. With this latest championship, the Rams have now won the LI Cup four times in the past five seasons.

The Rams title march was backboned by netminder 3D League MVP Ed Nowak who, through the first period, stretched his scoreless period streak to seven. 3E4 - Special K - Bucs fend off Tribe 7-4 to win 3E crown
Riding their big guns to the finish, the Bucs wore down a scrappy Tribe squad to secure the 3E title 7-4. The hardfought win was the Bucs first LI Cup in four years and seventh overall.

The Bucs could not shake the Tribe for the first two periods. While never trailing, they could not put away the determined Tribe. And, when the Tribe scored 90 seconds into the third, the Tribe closed to just 4-3. Needing a boost, up stepped 3E MVP John Kannegeiser. Just nine seconds after the Tribe scored their third goal, Kannegeiser took control of the subsequent face-off, matriculated through the Tribe defense, and threaded a sweet pass to a wide-open Keith Kowalsky. Only eight seconds later, Kannegeiser duplicated his prior rush to plunder the Tribe's fleeting hopes.
