Hockey Long Island takes the ice with the safety of our players, staff, referees, and rink personnel as our first and foremost priority. The below rink safety protocols follow guidance provided by NY State, Nassau County, and the CDC. We hope and expect all teams and players to embrace the challenge and work together to successfully and safely restart league play.
To smooth the pregame process we encourage all players to:
· be aware of their medical condition prior to traveling to the rink. Stay home if feverish or experiencing cold or flulike symptoms

arrive partially dressed to minimize the time
needed to take the ice
·
bring your own water
·
leave your valuables in the car and/or a secure
place
UNIVERSAL RINK
GUIDELINES (applies at all rinks)
· teams/all players required to check-in with rink or scorekeeper sign-in required for contact tracing purposes
· masks required to enter rink and at all times off the ice
· no masks required while on ice or bench
· social distance spacing on benches and changing areas when possible
· no sharing of water bottles (each player should bring own water)
· no spitting on ice or bench area
· no spectators allowed
· no alcohol anywhere in the rink facility
· no handshakes or fraternizing with players on ice after the game
· no loitering in rink after your game please exit rink within 15 minutes of leaving the ice
Newbridge
· mask to enter and at all times off the ice
· rink to take temperature at check-in desk (team/player name required for contact tracing) any player with temperature above 99.5 not permitted into building
· locker rooms provided 2 rooms assigned per team (masks required in locker rooms)
· lobby off limits after initial entry except for bathroom use
· equipment bags may remain in locker rooms
· social distance on bench additional bench seating will be available
· no showering after game please change quickly and exit rink
Bethpage
· mask to enter and at all times off the ice
· outside tents or designated areas provided to dress/tie skates
·
team representative to take/record each players
temperature (device supplied by rink staff). Team representative to give recorded
player temperatures to rink staff for contact tracing any player with temperature above 100.0 not permitted into building
· locker rooms not available
· equipment bags left behind your bench or in the grandstands
· change out of skates in grandstands or designated area (Snack Bar area) near front entrance
Parkwood
· mask to enter and at all times off the ice
· outside tents provided to dress/tie skates
· rink to take temperature at check-in desk ( team/player name required for contact tracing) any player with temperature above 99.5 not permitted into building
· locker rooms not available
· lounge area closed restrooms available
· equipment bags left behind your bench or in the grandstands
· change out of skates in outdoor tent area
Iceland
· mask to enter and at all times off the ice
· locker rooms available 2 rooms or designated zones assigned per team
· lobby off limits for changing and/or gathering
· equipment bags allowed to remain in locker room/designated zone
· no showering after game please change quickly and exit rink
